BMW F 800 R

The Japanese manufacturers have always tolerated BMW's aprroach to motorcycling probably because it wasn't such a great competitor as it is today. The Japanese bikes are effective, fast and exciting but there is a proper superbike on the way too, and that its the BMW F 800 R. It has an easy futuristic look and when you are on-board its like you sit more inside it than everything else bar the Kawasaki. The 798cc parallel twin engine is similar to the F 800 S model and uses a high-tech cylinder head just like the one used at the K 1200. The fuel tank position is now under the seat and its using Kinematic engineering which helps throttle response, also the exhaust has a separate catalytic converter. The last three cogs have a closer ratio for added 00mph. It has a stiff frame made by aluminium similar to the original F 800 but with a new double-sided alloy cast swingfarm. For optimising the weight and balance the engine is bolted directly to the frame above the swingfarm pivot. The forks are 43mm and the steering damper is standard. The rear wheel is 5.5 inch and the brakes model is Brembo. The F 800 R is the most competent motorbike and best option for driving across the town. This motorcycle cannot compete with the Ducati, Triumph or Aprilia because its not the reason that BMW made it. Its a handy bike that you can use every day and the price starts somewhere at 6,540 EUR.
